A couple weeks ago I ran into Oliver Sanchez at FICEB 07. I asked him for a quick interview and he said he would if we could leave the noisy confines of FICEB, so we walked across the street to a somewhat less-noisy bar. With a group of porn actresses sitting nearby and two coffees in front of us, we launched into the following interview. Find out about him and his latest movie, Private Sports Instructor.

So, Oliver, let’s start with the standard question. Where are you from and what makes you do what you do?

I’m French, but I live in Barcelona now with my wife, Priva. Porn for me is pleasure more than a job, so I feel very fortunate. I have a job that I really enjoy.

You’ve been in porno two decades already …

Yes, that sure says more than anything that I like what I do! Being older doesn’t effect my job opportunities either, because many porn consumers are men in their forties and porn is about selling fantasies. They want to see someone their age with beautiful young women.

Honestly speaking, you’re much more fit than the average forty year old. How do you do it?

I am very active. I know it sounds obvious, but it is something natural to me. I also spent eight years in the French Foreign Legion as a commando. I’m used to extreme bursts of activity. I am used to danger.

What kind of danger?

I was involved in rescue operations during the Rwandan genocide, the First Gulf War; I was stationed in Chad, in Surinam …

And from a legionnaire to a pornstar, probably the two most macho jobs there are. How did you make the leap from the FFL to porn?

I was in business, I worked as a marketing director in the Canary islands, selling real estate and many things. My ex girlfriend was very impressed with my dancing and proposed me to make some striptease shows. I was of course a bit afraid, but then we made a party with a group of friends and then we formed a group and made a mini striptease show to tour around the world. We travelled a lot for about three years. Then my ex girlfriend starting stripping too, and finally we were invited to do a porn movie together.

You’re highly respected and many of the girls I’ve talked to love performing with you. What’s your secret and how do keep going on after all these years?

My trick is to mix pleasure and risk, two things that really turn me on.

Which reminds of your latest movie, Private Sports Instructor, which you directed and starred in. What is the idea behind it, and how did it occur to you?

I’m always doing some kind of sport and sex, so it was very easy to combine the two. But the idea came one day one I was riding a jet ski wth a lady friend of mine behind me. We were going very fast and she stuck her hand in my pants and boom, I was hard! Really hard! In this moment I knew I must make a movie which combines risky sports and sex. Velocity and sex.

Is it hard to find actresses willing to engage in the kind of sex depicted in Private Sports Instructor?

Of course, it is not for everybody. I was very fortunate with Lady Mai. She is loves risk and sex just as much as me. What you see in the movie is all her. No extras. She would do any scene I proposed to her! And we are talking about scenes never seen before in porno. Like my first vignette for Private, Sex is in the Air, shot in a hot air balloon.

We’re all eagerly awaiting its release. It sounds like a one-of-a-kind product. Sex on a moving quad, sex hanging 20 metres over a valley …

… sex in a moving raft! The last orgy scene we did was fantastic too. Each girl in it gets DPed.

Who are the girls of the moment?

Lucy Belle is a great new talent. Jandi Lin, a beautiful girl form Hawaii who I want to start working with for Private. And Gigi Love, a very hot Spanish actress.

What’s in store for your fans?

I want to push a new porno style, which is extreme sex in new places, sports, athleticism. I am getting very positive responses, so we will see how Private Sports Instructor is received. I want to do more scenes, for example on a moving jet ski. Sex on jet skis has been done before, but not on a moving jet ski!
