The Mafia Girlz have arrived
The Mafia Girlz: Jessica Girl, Suzie Diamond, Regina Ice, Lady Mai, Honey Manko, Claudia Adams
I just watched an advance copy of Mafia Girlz and I think it succeeds on all levels. Honey Manko – the (non-sex performing) protagonist – drives this story with her strong screen presence and ongoing narration. It is a story about two rival clans that try to make peace by intermarriage. Honey, who comes from the Yugoslavian clan, is forced to marry Mike Angelo from the Sicilian clan. Her new husband turns out to be a sleazy philanderer. Honey’s brother (Omar Galanti) is also a perverted lout, and when the families unite, he and Mike fuck every female they can get their mitts on. Not only are the men from both families sexually depraved brutes, they are also corrupt double-crossers who plan on murdering each other.

Throw into the mix plenty of mayhem and fantastic performances be newcummers Regina Ice and Lucy Belle, and pants-popping fuck scenes by Susie Diamond and Lady Mai, and you have one of the few porn movies of late that is entirely watchable from beginning to end.
The colour scheme reminds one of porno cult classics from the seventies. Not to say it is on the same level, because it is too early to tell, but I do remember my conversation with X-Off in which he mentioned his desire to emulate the 70s porno classics that truly inspire him. In Mafia Girlz, the combustible mixture of hard, gonzo-style sex and a story packed with ultra-violence and dark humour have come together harmoniously. Don’t ask me how, because it is the stuff of true filmmaking talent which I do not profess to have.

I’m truly excited to see what X-Off is capable of in his future productions. Given free reign I think he will be capable of making porno movies unlike any other on the market. With the exception of Villalobos’ Jason Colt, Mafia Girlz is a unique breed of animal in world of porno. Straight, no-nonsense scenes are fine, but to do the truly difficult and successfully mesh two concepts like story and sex, and not make it seem like an arbitrary setup, is a task not many porn directors are up to.

Porno doesn’t have to be purely functional. X-Off said he knows that the perceived end of porno is for “jerking”, and he won’t disappoint your one-eyed bandit with Mafia Girlz. The sex scenes are hard and nasty. It’s harder than his first movie Evil Geishas, and even those watching Mafia Girlz for the non-sex scenes will have to acknowledge the frisson in scenes like Lady Mai’s brochette (scene 2), the foursome with Lucy and Regina
Is it possible to intentionally make a porn cult classic? Does it happen only after it becomes a highly appreciated but not very well known known “lost film gem”? Does it have to be so bad it’s good? Not always. I think what is happening here is that X-Off is stepping outside the of the conventions of contemporary porno. Let’s face it, most porn directors are afraid of serving up “high seriousness” mixed with porn. But if you do it, and do it right, the results are great fun to watch.
In all, a great flick with great sex performances. I tip my fedora to X-Off for a job well done.

Mmmmm this looks good. Great new talent in this one and the story sounds wicked. As long as it’s hard I’m down to see it! I haven’t seen Evil Geishas yet either but I’m thinking of picking it up this weekend.
