How did you start directing porno?
It was funny because before I got involved in porno I was selling machines for heating systems.
Which in a way you do now!
Yes! I sell things to heat people up. But then, let’s see, must be twenty years ago when I first set foot on a porn set. I come from Napoles and at this time twenty years ago not so many people can speak English. That is why director Marco Salieri came to me and asked me to work on his set. He said after the first day that he was really impressed with my work and asked me to continue the collaboration with him. Why? Because he could see that I knew what I was doing.
But this was the first time on a porn set for you?
Yes. But it was like natural. I worked with Marco six years. People liked the way I worked and they asked me if I made movies. This is when I opened Max Bellochio Productions.
Why did you change your name to Alessandro del Mar?
