Bondage and Perversion in L.A. is Pirate Fetish Machine’s hardest movie yet. In fact, the editor of Pirate magazine said this is one of the best of the series. In his own words: “It’s not the typical glamorous Private movie with Eastern European stars. It was shot in L.A. and all the cast is American, and the sex is very rough.”

Shot by Southern California by director/photographer Dave Naz, Bondage might be a bit surprising to more traditional Private fans, yet welcomed by those who have been looking for something with more of an edge. That’s why Bondage and Perversion in L.A. is a unique movie for Private.

Naz has no formal training in photography or filming, and you can sense a raw unrefined energy pervading his work. On his website he says, “School’s never been the way for me. A lot of my favorite writers—Bukowski, Fante, Jim Carroll—they didn’t write from school. They wrote from the street. Capturing emotion in less than a second’s time is unlike any other form of documentation.” He also cites director Todd Solondz and late photographer Diane Arbus as influences.

The “guckmal” is the famous anal gaping technique invented by Jean-Yves Lecastel, and is now known as his signature move. Since its inception in the late 20^th century it has gained increasing popularity in the porn world. People know what it is, but not many know about its origins.

First, the purely technical part. “Guckmal”, alternately spelled “kuckmal”, comes from the German verb “gucken”, which means “to look”, and the noun “mal”, which means “time”. When used together to form the idiom “Guck mal” they become the imperative “Look here”, or just, “Look”.

This actually takes on slightly sinister proportions when you also consider that “guck mal” can also mean “peak-a-boo”, the game parents play with their children. The way German speakers say “peek-a-boo” is “guck mal”, as in “Guck mal! A little birdy!” or something to that effect. Little did anyone know that late into the 20^th century one Jean-Yves Lecastel would unwittingly re-appropriate this once-innocent term for a children’s game and make it synonymous with anal gaping.

Jean-Yves himself explains the invention of the guckmal on the Adult DVD Talk forum:

I was in Germany, and while fucking a girl in reverse cowgirl anal, I began to be fed up of the cameraman who was not attentive at all. Suddenly I stopped fucking while grabbing the girl under the knees with my left hand, and with the other hand I was taking my dick out of the ass while shouting: “Hey, kuck mal hier !” which means in English: “Hey, look at that!” The cameraman was shocked, but immediately he began to shoot properly.

It is only after the scene that I could see what I did. Since then I never stopped.

As with many great things, the guckmal is the result of a happy accident. One could draw an analogy between Albert Hoffman’s accidental discovery of LSD and Lecastel’s accidental discovery of the guckmal. Both changed the world in their own way. And, no one can doubt it: after and encounter with either of the two, your mind will be warped forever.

On a side note, there is the infamous internet meme called the goatse, which according to Wikipedia originated in the 2000s, well after the invention of the guckmal (most likely mid to late nineties). There is a pre-goatse, and a post-goatse for anyone who has had the misfortune of encountering it, but let’s just say it was probably inspired by the guckmal, though it is far, far more graphic. That’s all I really want to add on the subject of goatse.

Behind the scenes on Scent of a Girl

Porn fans can rejoice. Jean-Yves Lecastel is back again this September with Scent of a Girl. Famous for his Private Matador series (and for his trademark kukmal, or anal gaping position), this is a step in a new direction for Jean-Yves. My contact in the production department says this is an atypical Lecastel movie:

“In [Scent of a Girl] he goes feature”.

Feature movie it is, but rest assured, there’s plenty of kukmal action and perverted sex to go along with those swooping jib shots. Oh, did I forget to mention the story line? From the synopsis:

Sexual tensions are high in the office of a cosmetics company run by a married couple. In a devious move to eliminate her husband Mrs Amos (Jade Sin) spreads her legs and lets the adultery games, the cocks and the DPs begin!

As per your requests, here are some more unpublished pics of Susie Diamond. These are actually screen grabs from the exclusive scene Susie shot with X-Off for her Private Life movie.

Some regular readers may remember that in this scene she performs with Mike Angelo, who comes from what X-Off calls the “Rocco school of porno”. I saw bits of the scene as it was being edited and it is hard and natural feeling. At one point Susie is riding Mike cowgirl style and she orgasms so hard she squirts all over him.
