We meet X-Off again for a second interview in Helldorado, his production headquarters. I’m here to find out more about him and to talk about his upcoming movie Mafia Girlz, in which we are treated to revelations like Lucy Belle and newcomer Regina Ice, as well as one of Susie Diamond’s last performances.

X-Off comes from a documentary film background, and besides making porn movies he’s also a script writer for a mainstream movie production house based in Barcelona. He uses professional cinema crews and costume designers from the Cirque Soleil in his productions, and his close collaboration with Albertine, a professional erotic photographer whose work graces the pages of suicidegirls.com, brings his movies a decidedly different look.

Mafia Girlz is a gangster flick with a twist. A female twist. It is a movie about rival Sicilian and Balkan clans; a movie about evil men and bad ass chicks. Shot in an abandoned castle in Catalonia, the entire cast and crew had to trek two hours to reach the shooting location. They spent an intense week shooting Mafia Girlz, and now, back in the studio for post production, X-Off is kind enough to let me interview him.

Mafia Girlz. I like the name and how the z rolls off my tongue. Where did you get the idea for it?

I was inspired by two lines of thought really: some Shakespearean elements mixed in with modern movie references. The idea of warring clans, of the mafia … some of my movie influences in this will be obvious to the person watching it – like Kusturica’s Underground and of course, The Godfather.

Shakespeare and Kusturica, those are high standards you set for yourself. But to be blunt, this is porno – and for Private nonetheless. What about the sex?

I have it very clear in my mind that this movie is for jerking. Although I want it to be something more. For jerking what is it people like? I think hard and strong sex, that doesn’t seem faked. And I’m very pleased with the results in Mafia Girlz.

I must say, from what I’ve seen it does have a visceral effect. It’s intense.

I was very fortunate with this movie and I discovered something absolutely key in making pornos, which many people overlook. Of course gorgeous girls are very important.

That’s what you see on the cover when you’re selecting the movie …

Yeah, and what I didn’t appreciate before was the important role the male performers play in the movie. It is absolutely essential to have a strong male performer because the girls will play off of him. A passive guy will produce passive sex because the girl will not be driven out of her mind like you see in good porno!

The scene with Lucy Bell comes to mind. At least the parts of it I saw.

Wow. And for two reasons. First Lucy Bell is a revelation. She’s relatively unknown. She’s hasn’t worked that much. In this scene she has with Omar Galenti my jaw practically dropped when we were shooting it. They really got into it – hard – and something I couldn’t believe happened. Lucy turned around while she was getting it from behind and slapped Omar in the face several times. That really heated things up.

Very sexy.

And Omar came up with the idea for the cumshot at the end, which is just brilliant.

(For this Lucy is supine, and Omar lays a silken cloth over her face for the cumshot. Original and erotic at the same time.)

What made your male actors so good?

Omar Galenti and Mike Angelo are from what I call the Rocco School. They started years ago working with Rocco in the world of gonzo, and because of this the sex is much much stronger. They don’t need to be directed as much, and they invent poses I have never seen before.

Do you have to motivate them in any special way?

Not really no, they are professional! I say, now we shoot and …

(For effect he thrusts his tattooed forearm up and slaps it.)

Like that! You just say word and bang, they got boners! That’s talent.

Yeah, they are already very passionate. They were also very excited by the new starlets, Lucy Bell and Regina Ice who gave some great performances.

(X-Off turns once again to the menu on his computer and pulls out a scene in which we see Regina Ice and Lucy Bell in a scene with Omar and Mike. After showing me snippets of the scene in sequence we get to a part where Regina Ice is riding Mike reverse cowgirl - it’s not dubbed, and it’s obviously not being acted. She is going wild!)

Wow, how did you achieve that?

Easy, I always tell the girls not to do the typical porno moan, which I can’t stand. I tell them it must come natural and it must come from the stomach. The result is what you have just seen. And again, it is the actors who really turn on the girls.

Other than learning under the auspices Rocco, are there other ways of assuring a good performance?

You just need to know how the actors get on together. Quiet easy. They must have good dynamics in order to have good sex. That’s what motivates them and that’s what really turns them on.

I noticed Omar wearing a gun holster in his scenes. Is that part of his role?

Oh yes. Of course they fuck like they are in the movie. If he is a bad guy, like Omar is in the movie, he will fuck harder. Susie Diamond, another gift to me in this movie, who is also quite a good actress, is a sweeter person. Omar’s character wants her throughout the movie, and when he finally gets her, you bet, the sex is hard and up the ass. Of course she gets her revenge … check this out.

(X-Off pulls up the climactic final fuck scene, then pulls up a scene where a hot blonde girl I don’t recognize and Susie … well I can’t spoil it for you … but trust me, it kicks ass.)

Yeah! Who’s the blonde chick?

Honey Manko. She’s a model on Suicide Girls. She doesn’t have any hardcore scenes, but I was really pleased with her acting.

(He pulls up a scene in which Hone -, who plays Omar’s rebellious sister in the movie - is trying to run away from her wedding. Omar catches her and intimidates her. He dowses her nude body with ice cold water, she writhes with a look equal parts fear and equal parts hatred.)

She’s from Eastern Europe but has been living in London for about a decade. She went over the script with me and re-wrote a lot of the dialogue and the voice over, which she does in the movie.

I gotta say, for a porn movie it actually waxes poetic. What are you trying to do with your porno movies?

I don’t know if this makes any sense, but I want to bring hardcore to normal people.
