Lucky from Tom Herold’s Fucker Takes All

Who would you like to work with in the future?

In the future I would like to work with some American actors and actresses to take advantage of shooting comedy in English without language problems. So that I can focus more on the details and not have to adjust the dialogues to the language skills of the actors.

Because of the language problems most of all European feature productions today are very handicapped in the performance of the actors, and this limits the size of the story.

In my heart I would like to shoot a movie one day with very detailed script that could be done with people that I find on the street or wherever they pass my way and who inspire me from their look and personality. I could convince them to shoot a movie with me. Of course they have to fuck, but that would be the kick.

Speaking of American and European … what do you prefer, yank or euro porn?

European porno in my opinion has never existed as a style. Everything was, is and will be copied in any way from the Americans. One thing, in the USA you can’t find so many different and beautiful girls like here in Europe.

But I think, that we can still learn from the Americans one thing - to be more free and sponaneous and just to try something without thinking about how it will be accepted. Nothing more.

I know you mentioned Josefine Mutzenbacher as an early influence. Do you have any other favourite porn directors?

Truly I don’t have any. Because I don’t watch porn for my private pleasure anymore. If I watch it is just to check the market. One of the only names I want to mention here is Andrew Blake. In this incredibly huge jungle of products he has established a unique style which can be recognized immediately by anybody. Sometimes people uses the description “Andrew Blake style”, to describe a style of a scene. That kicks ass, man.

From the technical aspect I admire some of the productions from American director Nic Andrews, who brought action sequences to porn movies that really blow your socks off. And the comedy parts are done like almost Hollywood quality.

In what porn genre would you place your movies?

It’s too early to say that. I haven’t cooked the meal completely yet. For the moment I would say……Tom Herold porn! Yeah, that sounds good.

Is it possible to make a porn movie that people might watch just for the comedy?

Truly that would be the most exiting challenge, and it is something I have been thinking about a long time. And I am sure, it would work. Because the audience would be there for it. Just right now there is no audience because there is no product. In cinema you find sometimes already some exceptions, that also become very successful the English movie 9 Songs.

But to make a porn movie where you can sell also just the comedy part alone and a hard version parallel would be something that I would like to make one time.

Besides horny naked women, what other things do you like?

I can say, that I am first of all a movie maniac and here in Prague I visit the cinema as much as I can. Movies inspires me a lot. I like intelligently-made action movies as well as comedys and dramas which tell an interesting story about one special person, like The Perfume. The for music of course rock and roll, especially Status Quo and Elvis. That gives me the necessary funpower and life electricity.

Most of all I get influenced by the daily things, that I watch on the street, watching people, listening to their stories, studying their behaviours. Like when I took the metro for the first time in Prague. I got so inspired by that atmosphere that I had to use that as a location later within some vignettes. With Ibiza the same. In erotic ways I get constantly inspired by my girlfriend. Just watching her, let my senses fly!

What is your next project?

Actually I am involved now as assistance director with Moire(*)Candy and we are shooting a couple of Private movies.

Besides I am preparing things for my upcoming website www.tomherold.eu.
